2026 Kia Sportage Engine Specifications

The 2026 Kia Sportage offers a thrilling gas-powered drive. It features a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. The Sportage offers six trims, a majority of which come equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) for improved handling. The LX FWD model offers an estimated fuel economy of 9.3 L/100 km in the city and 7.0 L/100 km on the highway. The remaining trims (all with AWD) offer an estimated fuel economy of 9.9 L/100 km for the city and 7.8 L/100 km for the highway.

2026 Kia Sportage HEV Engine Specifications

The Sportage Hybrid features a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain that offers enhanced fuel efficiency. A 1.6L turbocharged engine comes coupled with a 64kW lithium-ion battery-powered electric motor that offers a combined 232 horsepower and 271 lb-ft. of torque. It offers an estimated fuel economy of 6.7 L/100 km for the city and 6.6 L/100 km on the highway. There are three different trims to choose from, and all of them come standard with AWD.

2026 Kia Sportage PHEV Engine Specifications

The 2026 Kia Sportage PHEV offers the best of electric and gas-powered driving. It’s powered by a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces a combined horsepower of 268 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. You can plug in the SUV at night to charge up for your daily commute and use the gas engine for longer trips. It offers 53 kilometres of all-electric range, and the Level 2 charger can top up the battery in just 2 hours. It has a combined estimated fuel economy of 6.6 L/100 km.
