Kia Victoria Wins 2024 Community Driver Award
We are beyond thrilled to share some exciting news: Kia Victoria has been named the 2024 Community Driver Award winner for the Vancouver Island Region for the second year in a row! This award recognizes car dealerships that go above and beyond in their commitment to community involvement and achievement, and we are incredibly honored to receive this recognition.
At Kia Victoria, we’ve always believed that our business is more than just a place to buy or service a car—it’s a part of something bigger. Our team, our owners, and our families all live here, and giving back to this incredible community is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s supporting local charities, sponsoring youth sports, or rallying together for important causes, we’re committed to making Victoria the best place to live for everyone.
A Community-First Approach
Our proudest accomplishment this year is our charity work. At Kia Victoria, we believe supporting those around us is integral to who we are. There’s a big heart at the corner of Government and Hillside, and so we strive to be impactful members of Southern Vancouver Island and making a meaningful difference.
This past year we proudly sponsored the TC10K, the BC Special Olympics, Power to Be, Threshold Housing and the Victoria Cool Aid Society with big sponsorships. Their work changes lives, and we’re proud to stand beside them in their missions.
We also love seeing local athletes thrive, which is why we support teams like the Victoria Kings Hockey Association, Admirals Minor Hockey Association, Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association, Victoria Mariners, Victoria Eagles Baseball Club, and Zone 5 Women’s Golf. Sports bring people together, teach valuable life skills, and create lasting memories—we’re honored to play a small part in that.
We rounded off the year with sponsorships of some of our favourite local charities: Cornerstone Youth Society, Vancouver Island Crisis Society, Mustard Seed, Ride for Refuge, Victoria Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society, Victoria Community Living Foundation, 1Up Single Parent Resource Centre Christmas Hamper Program, and The Salvation Army Toy Drive.
Sponsorship Highlight — Each year our goal is to raise $10,000 to buy 10,000 pairs of warm high-quality socks for people who are un-housed and in need in our region, through our partnership with the Victoria Cool Aid Society. We are so pleased to announce that once again, we exceeded our goal and raised $17,678! In just five years, we helped raise $95,207!!!
More Than an Award
Winning the Community Driver Award is a huge honor, but to us, the real reward is seeing the impact of our efforts. Every fundraiser, sponsorship, and campaign is about lifting up those around us and making a meaningful difference. And none of this would be possible without our incredible staff, customers, and community members who support and inspire us every day.
Thank you, Vancouver Island, for letting us be a part of your lives. We are so grateful, and we can’t wait to continue driving change—together.
Why do we do it? Because it’s the right thing to do.
Thank you for all your help Victoria!
