No PST on Used Electric Vehicles in BC

Print Post

The BC Government is no longer charging PST on used electric vehicles, making EVs more affordable than ever.

This new policy came into effect on February 23, 2022, and expires on February 22, 2027.

To encourage more BC drivers to switch to electric-battery vehicles BC is removing the provincial sales tax (PST) from used zero-emission vehicles. The exemption applies to zero-emission vehicles sold by car dealerships and in private sales. The vehicles must have been driven for at least 6,000 km.
